Welcome to Reellette! By accessing or using our app or website, you agree to the following Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

Overview

Reellette is a recommendation platform that helps users discover TV series and movies. You can browse suggestions, save items to your catalog, and search for titles. All without giving up your privacy.

Use of the Service

You agree to use Reellette only for lawful purposes. You must not: attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or disrupt the service; use the app to spread spam or harmful content; or misrepresent yourself or impersonate others. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if these rules are violated.

User Content

If the app allows any form of user-generated content (like notes or feedback in the future), you agree not to post anything unlawful, abusive, or offensive. You retain ownership of your content, but you grant us a license to store and display it for the purpose of delivering the service.

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and code in Reellette are the intellectual property of Reellette unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, distribute, or modify any part of the service without permission.

Disclaimer

Reellette provides recommendations “as is,” without guarantees of accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do our best to keep the service running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Reellette is not liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from your use (or inability to use) the service.

Subscriptions and Billing

Reellette may offer premium features through a subscription model. Subscriptions are managed through the App Store and processed via our billing partner, RevenueCat.

Payments are charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your device's account settings.

We do not process or store any payment information directly.

Referral Program

Program Overview

Reellette offers a referral program that allows users to invite others to join the service and earn credits as a reward. By participating in the referral program, you agree to these terms.

How It Works

  • Referral Credits: When you invite a new user to Reellette using your unique referral code, and they successfully sign up and verify their email address, both you (the referrer) and the new user (the referee) will each receive 5 credits.
  • Credit Cap: Your account can hold a maximum of 40 total credits at any time. If awarding referral credits would exceed this limit, you will receive partial credits to reach the 40-credit cap.
  • Referral Code: Each user is assigned a unique referral code upon registration, which can be found in your account profile.

Eligibility

To participate in and receive referral credits:
  • The referrer (person inviting) must have an active, non-premium account to receive referral credits.
  • Premium subscribers cannot earn referral credits as referrers, but new users they invite will still receive credits.
  • The referee (person being invited) will receive credits regardless of the referrer's subscription status.
  • Users with inactive, suspended, or deleted accounts are not eligible as referrers.
  • Each new user can only be referred once.
  • You cannot refer yourself using your own referral code.

Credit Award Timing

  • Standard Sign-Up: Referral credits are awarded after the new user verifies their email address.
  • Apple Sign-In: Referral credits are awarded immediately upon successful account creation, as Apple pre-verifies email addresses.

Credit Usage

Earned credits can be used within the Reellette service for features that require credits, such as generating personalized content recommendations. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged.

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:
  • Create fake or fraudulent accounts to abuse the referral program.
  • Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to generate referrals.
  • Spam or harass others with unsolicited referral codes.
  • Attempt to manipulate or circumvent the referral program rules.
  • Engage in any activity that violates these Terms of Use.

Program Modifications and Termination

Reellette reserves the right to:
  • Modify, suspend, or terminate the referral program at any time without prior notice.
  • Change the credit amounts, eligibility requirements, or other program terms.
  • Revoke credits or suspend accounts if fraudulent activity or abuse is detected.
  • Investigate suspicious referral activity and take appropriate action.

Disclaimer

Reellette is not responsible for any disputes between users regarding referrals. Credits earned through the referral program are provided "as is" and subject to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. If changes are significant, we’ll notify users through the app or website. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
