Getting Started

Why is it called Reellette?

It's a combination of Roulette (as in recommendation roulette) and film reels. :)

How do I confirm my email?

Install the app first, if not installed. Tap on the confirmation link sent to you via email. The process is completed inside the app.

How do I sign up / log in?

You can sign up or log in directly through the app via e-mail and password or using "Sign in with Apple".

How do I reset the password?

On the login screen, tap the "Reset Password" button. If you haven't installed the app yet, please do so first. Then, tap the password reset link sent to you via email. The process will be completed inside the app.

Account

I cannot update my email or password if I signed up with "Sign in with Apple". Why?

If you created your account using "Sign in with Apple", your email and password are managed by Apple, not by Reellette. This means you cannot update your email or password from within the app. To make changes, you need to manage your Apple ID settings directly through your device or at appleid.apple.com.

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account, please install the app if you haven't already. Then, tap the following link: reellette.com/delete-account. The deletion process must be completed inside the app for your security.

Reccomendations

How do I get recommendations in the app?
  1. Select at least one content type.
  2. Select at least one genre.
  3. Select at least one mood.
  4. Tap the Get recommendations button.

Once you complete these steps, the app will generate recommendations tailored to your selections.

Billing and Subscriptions

Is Reellette free?

When you sign up for Reellette, you get access to free recommendation features. Once these run out, you will need to subscribe to continue using premium features. Initially, you can explore the core functionality at no cost and unlock additional features through a subscription if you choose.

Do I need a subscription to use the app?

You can use the app without a subscription, but access is limited. For example, basic users receive free recommendations initially, but these are not personalized based on watch history and use slower models. A subscription unlocks full access, including continuous, personalized recommendations and other premium features.

How are subscriptions managed?

Subscriptions are processed securely through the App Store using a trusted billing provider (RevenueCat). You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple account settings.

Users in the US can also choose to use an external payment link, which is securely managed by RevenueCat.

Availability

Is there a web version?

Not at the moment, and we don’t have plans to release one for now.
